Charming stay with delicious breakfast
The hotel is situated right in the heart of the action, with plenty of fun shops and restaurants just steps away. The decor really gives off a traditional vibe, making the space feel inviting. I absolutely loved the breakfast—there was so much variety and everything felt fresh. However, the walk from the parkade to the hotel front was a bit inconvenient, especially at night due to the lighting.

The kids loved the vibrant atmosphere around the hotel and enjoyed checking out the shops nearby. The complimentary wine and cheese reception was a delightful touch and made our evenings relaxing. The hotel is in a prime location for exploring everything Old Strathcona offers.
My kids wished for a better pool area for more fun.

varscona hotel on whyte is a fabulous small hotel in a terrific location. the staff were super helpful, even bringing a kettle and microwave to my room. i loved being able to control the temperature and open the window. there's a full fitness room with great equipment too.
